Further Confusion 2027

Further Confusion (FC) is the West Coast's anchor furry convention, running from 14 to 19 January 2027 at the San Jose Convention Center. This is the big one that traditionally kicks off the global calendar year, so expect a full house and a lot of energy. The 2027 theme is FC Land: The Wildest Ride in The Fandom, which sets the tone for a week of high-octane fun rather than a quiet retreat.

The event is a non-profit run by Anthropomorphic Arts and Education, with a volunteer team of over 250 people keeping things moving. You will find educational panels, a massive juried art show, and nightly dance parties. It is a welcoming space where you do not need to be a furry to attend, but the community vibe is strong. The charity focus is a real part of the identity, with past years raising significant funds for local causes.

San Jose is a practical base for this trip. The convention center is right in the middle of downtown, close to the VTA light rail and several hotels. You can easily walk to the Marriott or Hilton, or catch a quick ride from the nearby airport. It is a solid choice if you want a large, well-organized convention with a genuine community feel and a schedule that keeps you busy from morning until the dance floor closes.
