Adelaide Anthros (A2)

Sat, 7 Nov 2026 - Sun, 8 Nov 2026

Oaks Glenelg Plaza Pier Suites, 16 Holdfast Promenade, Glenelg SA 5045, Australia, Glenelg, AU

Adelaide Anthros (A2) is a two-day furry convention taking place in Glenelg, South Australia, from 7 to 9 November 2026. This is the region's primary multi-day gathering for the local community, expanding from a single-day format to give everyone more time to connect. The event is small enough that most attendees know each other, making it a comfortable spot for first-timers and locals alike who want a furry weekend without travelling interstate. The venue is the Oaks Glenelg Plaza Pier Suites, an apartment-style hotel right on the foreshore. You are steps from the sand, which means you can cool off in the pool or walk to Jetty Road for cafes and shops between sessions. Programming includes a dealers den, panels, DJ sets, and open spaces for fursuiting. Note that Saturday is open to all ages, while Sunday is reserved for attendees 18 and over. Getting there is straightforward, with the Glenelg tram terminating at Moseley Square just a short walk away. If you are staying at the venue, you can enjoy the ocean views and the convenience of having your accommodation and convention in one place. It is a practical, beachside setup that keeps things relaxed and community-focused. Check the official site for specific ticket tiers and any updates to the schedule as the dates approach.

Melbourne Fur Con (MFC)

Fri, 19 Feb 2027 - Sun, 21 Feb 2027

Novotel Melbourne Preston, 215 Bell St, Preston, VIC 3072, Australia, Melbourne, AU

Melbourne Fur Con (MFC) runs from 19 to 22 February 2027 at the Novotel Melbourne Preston. This all-ages furry convention in Melbourne has grown significantly since its early days in a scout hall, now welcoming over a thousand attendees each year. The 2027 edition carries the theme Realms Below, inviting everyone to explore new creative directions in a supportive environment. The venue is a modern hotel with convention space on-site, so you do not need to commute between rooms. Preston is well connected to the city centre via the Mernda railway line, making it easy to reach from Melbourne Airport or the CBD. Registration is pre-purchase only, so plan ahead to secure your spot. The team maintains strict safety standards, including mandatory masks in the Dealers Den to keep the space comfortable for everyone. MFC is known for its welcoming atmosphere and strong community focus. Past editions have featured live charity partners, such as local bird rescues, bringing real animals and stories to the floor. The convention publishes detailed costume guidelines each year to ensure themes remain respectful and inclusive. Whether you are a seasoned fursuiter or attending for the first time, the event aims to be a friendly, practical space for the southeast Australian furry community.
