Motor City Furry Con (MCFC) 2027

Motor City Furry Con (MCFC) is an 18+ furry convention taking place in Detroit from March 19 to 22, 2027. This is a dedicated space for adult anthropomorphic appreciation, so you can relax without worrying about younger crowds. The team runs this event as a genuine labor of love, focusing on community connection rather than just corporate polish. You will find a solid mix of panels, board games, and video gaming sessions that keep the floor active all weekend long.

The venue is the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, which sits right in the middle of a historic riverfront complex. Staying here means you are literally living in one of the tallest buildings in Michigan, with wide views of the Detroit River and Windsor. It is a unique setting that gives the con a distinct vibe compared to standard hotel basements. The 2027 theme is Here There Be Dragons, which should bring some fun energy to the programming and social events.

Accessibility is a real priority here, as MCFC is a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower partner. They have a dedicated desk to issue lanyards for those who need them, making the environment more comfortable for everyone. The charity for this year is Saving Scales Reptile Rescue, so you can support a good cause while you enjoy the party. It is a straightforward, well-run event that gets the job done without the fluff.
