Further South (FS) 2027

Further South is a small, cosy furry convention taking over the Holiday Inn Portsmouth for its third year running. Scheduled from March 5 to 9, 2027, this event focuses on community, art, and local talent rather than massive crowds. It is a great option if you prefer an intimate atmosphere where you can actually chat with the people around you without shouting over a bass drop. The venue sits in Old Portsmouth, close to the historic docks and the sea, so you can step outside for a breather and some fresh air between panels. Since it is a smaller scale con, it feels approachable for first-timers or anyone who finds big cons a bit much. The team has been running this since 2025, and the vibe is genuinely welcoming. You will find a dealers den, art panels, and plenty of space to suit up. It is a solid choice for a weekend away in the UK that does not feel overwhelming. Come down for a few days of good company and some nice local scenery.
