Furrstein 2026

Furrstein is a strictly 18+ medieval-themed furry convention hosted by KRAZ z.s. at the Castle and Fort Jindrichovice in the Czech Republic. Taking place from 3 to 6 September 2026, the event invites attendees to live inside a 17th-century castle and a 14th-century fortress, offering a unique immersion into a historical setting. The 2026 edition is themed 'How to Train Your Dragon,' featuring a curated medieval menu prepared by historical fencing guilds SHG Mortis and SHG Royal mercenaries. The programming includes games, competitions, and in-character interactions with armorers, while providing a dedicated headless lounge for fursuiters to rest and refresh.

Accommodation is integral to the experience, with attendees sleeping within the historic buildings rather than a separate hotel. The venue includes a fully equipped barn and a hearth hall for relaxation, as well as a castle garden for common areas. Food service is provided on-site, with breakfasts served in the Castle's Banquet Hall and lunches and dinners in the Fortress's Barn. The on-site bar offers local mini-brewery beers, Dolsk mead, and Czech Kofola limonade, with cash being the primary payment method for additional expenses.

Registration opens on 10 July 2026, with a deadline of 21 August 2026. Attendees must be at least 18 years old by 2 September 2026 to participate. The event emphasizes a community-focused atmosphere where knightly honor and good manners are part of the daily rhythm, encouraging interaction and participation in the life of the con. Travelers should note that the castle is the primary accommodation, and parking is available near the Jindrichovice fortress.
