Furgeddaboutit (FURG) 2027

Furgeddaboutit (FURG) is a furry convention in Fairfield, New Jersey, running from March 11 to 15, 2027. It serves as a homegrown hub for the tri-state community, specifically filling the gap for a major local event that does not require a long drive to Philadelphia or Boston. The 2027 theme is Cosa Nostra: This furry thing of ours, which leans into the event's distinct New Jersey identity and playful use of local slang. You can expect a strong sense of community here, with the convention consistently raising funds for local causes like Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge.

The venue is the DoubleTree by Hilton Fairfield Hotel & Suites, keeping everything on-site for easy access to programming and social spaces. The schedule follows a clear split-age model: the daytime convention floor is all-ages, while dance floors flip to 18+ at 9 PM. This structure makes it a comfortable option for families during the day and a dedicated social space for adults in the evening. The event also features a Car Meet & Cannonball, which has gained some mainstream automotive attention for its unique blend of furry culture and car shows.

Furgeddaboutit is a collaborative effort by several local organizations, including Furrydelphia and Pinefurs. It is a practical choice for those looking for a mid-sized con with a strong local focus. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a focus on fundraising and community building. If you are in the area, it is a solid option for a weekend of furry socializing, charity support, and a bit of local flair. The event name itself, a play on the catchphrase, sets the tone for a relaxed and fun experience.
