Fauntastic (Faun) 2027

Fauntastic (Faun) is a French furry convention running from 26 to 31 March 2027 at the Novotel Lyon Bron Eurexpo in Bron. This mid-sized event focuses on community and creativity rather than just panels, drawing around 500 attendees who enjoy board games, art sharing, and relaxed socialising. It is open to both furries and the general public, making it a welcoming space for newcomers and veterans alike.

The venue is the hotel itself, which means accommodation and event spaces are right next to each other. A key quirk to note is that all residential rooms are doubles only. You can choose between a double bed or twin beds, but there are no singles or triples. Solo attendees are matched with a roommate by the organisers, so you will definitely have a bed partner. The hotel also features a dedicated fursuit lounge with refreshments and maintenance facilities, which is a lifesaver for those in full suits.

For programming, Fauntastic uses a structured call for proposals on Pretalx, a tool more common in tech conferences than furry events. This suggests a well-organised schedule of panels and workshops. The event also runs an associative bar, which requires a separate membership fee for access. With Lyon's excellent transport links, including direct TGV connections from Paris and Geneva, getting to Bron is straightforward. It is a solid choice if you want a friendly, creative weekend in a comfortable setting.
