Anthrocon 2027

Anthrocon is the big one. Running from 1 to 5 July 2027 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, this annual furry convention is the largest of its kind in the world. You are not just visiting a show; you are stepping into the heart of the fandom. The 2027 theme is LEVEL 30: BEGIN, which sets the tone for a week packed with energy and community spirit.

The scale here is genuinely impressive. With over 20,000 attendees expected, the venue hosts a massive Dealers Den, a curated Art Show, and the famous Fursuit Parade that takes over downtown streets. It is a hub for artists, animators, and writers who celebrate anthropomorphic characters. The atmosphere is warm and inclusive, welcoming everyone from seasoned fursuiters to first-time visitors. You will find panels, social events, and river cruises that keep the weekend moving.

Practical notes matter when you are planning a trip of this size. The convention center is fully cashless, so bring a card for registration, the Art Show, and the Con Store. Hotel blocks are in high demand, so book early through official channels to avoid scams. This is a chance to connect with a global community in a city that knows how to host a big event. Come ready to make memories.
