Furnal Equinox (FE)

Furnal Equinox is Canada's largest furry convention, running from February 13 to 15, 2027, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto. This is a big, well-organized event that has moved to a new venue to handle the crowd better. You get a full weekend of panels, workshops, and gaming sessions, all driven by attendee submissions. It is a solid choice if you want a major North American con without the chaos of smaller meets.

The programming leans heavily on community input, so expect a wide mix of topics. There are two separate Dealers Dens, one for all ages and another staffed 18+ floor, which keeps things organized and comfortable for everyone. The dance scene is a highlight here, featuring both a standard fursuit competition and the unique Pas Le Choix de Danser. That is a single-elimination battle where you do not need a suit, so it is a great low-pressure way to join in.

Charity is a core part of the weekend, with proceeds going to Procyon Wildlife, a local non-profit for injured animals. The venue is right on Queen Street West, with direct access to the PATH underground walkway. That is a lifesaver during a Toronto winter.
