Pawsome

Pawsome 2026 is an annual residential furry convention held at the Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall Hotel in Upton St Leonards, Gloucester. Taking place from 1 October to 5 October 2026, the event secures exclusive use of the four-star country house hotel and its grounds, ensuring a private environment where the general public is excluded. This year’s theme is Beach Party, a relaxed aesthetic chosen to be accessible and fun for all attendees, regardless of their wardrobe. The schedule runs from midday Thursday to midday Monday, providing ample time for socialising, attending programmed events, and enjoying the company of fellow community members.

The convention is distinguished by its liberal "You Do You" dress code, which encourages diverse forms of anthropomorphic expression beyond traditional fursuits. While animal-themed costumes are encouraged, the policy welcomes latex, spandex, and other materials, provided they adhere to coverage rules and do not cause offence. Pawsome is an 18+ event, requiring all attendees to present valid identification upon badge collection. The venue offers a comfortable setting with a full programme of activities, including a Dealers' Den, community showcases, and social events, all designed to foster an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.

Registration for 2026 is structured into three components: a mandatory Convention Attendance fee, a Residential Supplement for accommodation and meals, and a small booking agency fee. The event places a strong emphasis on community support and inclusivity, with previous years raising funds for local charities. Located in the southwest of England, Pawsome aims to provide a gold-standard experience for the UK furry community, offering a unique blend of traditional convention elements and a relaxed, private party atmosphere.
