FurCalvaDance (FCD)

FurCalvaDance (FCD) is a residential furry convention organised by NormandiFurs, taking place from 25 to 30 September 2026. The event occupies the entire Le Senquet holiday village in Blainville-sur-Mer, France, creating a private, immersive environment for up to 300 attendees. This all-inclusive format bundles lodging, three daily meals, and access to the pool and bar into a single ticket, eliminating the need to coordinate separate accommodation and dining arrangements. The venue is situated on the Cotentin coast, offering a coastal setting distinct from typical urban hotel conventions.

The 2026 edition is themed 'Ambush on the High Seas', with programming heavily focused on dance, including themed parties and music events across multiple nights. The schedule also features dealer dens, panels, and introductory seminars specifically designed to help first-time attendees feel comfortable in the community. This onboarding approach is particularly effective within the residential layout, where attendees share meals and social spaces for five days, fostering a tight-knit atmosphere.

NormandiFurs has organised the event since 2019, growing from small local gatherings to a larger regional convention. The 2025 edition welcomed 222 participants, and the 2026 event maintains a cap of 300 to preserve this community feel. The event is open to all ages, with no specific adult-only restrictions noted for the general convention, making it suitable for families and newcomers alike. Registration for the 2026 edition is currently sold out, with new sign-ups joining a waiting list.
