DESCRIPTION:Palmetto Anthro Weekend (PAW) is the first full furry conventio
 n held in South Carolina\, taking place in Greenville from 4 to 8 February
  2027. Organised by the Palmetto Anthro Collective\, this event gives sout
 heastern furries a local base instead of driving hours to other states. Th
 e Crowne Plaza Greenville hosts the whole thing\, meaning the convention\,
  food\, and lodging are all in one building. Rooms in the block start at $
 99 a night\, which keeps things affordable for a long weekend trip.\nThe t
 heme is Fur In Love\, a nod to the Valentine's timing. Guest of Honour Wyv
 iryn\, a local artist and composer\, is designing the convention shirt and
  doing custom work for top-tier sponsors. Programming includes a fursuit r
 unway\, dance competition\, and panels\, all spread across two rooms. The 
 hotel also has a heated indoor saltwater pool and two restaurants\, so you
  can chill between events. It is all ages\, though minors need a parent or
  guardian present.\nThis is a small\, community-focused con built by peopl
 e who ran smaller meets first. Staff use colour-coded lanyards for easy id
 entification. If you are new to the scene\, this is a relaxed spot to meet
  others. The venue is close to the airport\, and the hotel runs a free shu
 ttle within a five-mile radius. Come for the art\, the music\, and the cha
 nce to be part of the state's first proper furry gathering.
