Leeds Furs

Leeds Furs is a long-standing monthly furry meet in Leeds, with a history dating back to 2001 as part of the Northernfurs rotation. The upcoming session is scheduled for 19th September 2026, running from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This gathering serves as a primary social hub for the local community, offering a low-pressure afternoon for attendees to socialise and meet new people in a familiar setting. The group has organised over 150 meets since its inception and is recognised as one of the larger regular meets in the UK.

The event takes place at Lazy Lounge, an independent bar located at West Point, Wellington Street, just a few minutes from Leeds Train Station. The venue provides a range of soft and alcoholic drinks, as well as food options. For attendees in fursuits, a dedicated changing and relaxation area is available next door at Leeds Postal Service, the sister venue to the bar. This arrangement ensures a comfortable space for suited members while keeping the main bar area accessible for all. A fursuit walk typically occurs around 2:00 PM, subject to weather conditions.

Leeds Furs is distinct from their separate coffee meets, which are held on the first Tuesday of each month at Flamingos in the Central Arcade. The Lazy Lounge meet is the larger, more central social event for the area. The community is inclusive and has been a regular participant in Leeds Pride since 2018, marching alongside other LGBTQ+ groups. The event is open to all ages, with no specific adult-only restrictions mentioned for the main meet, making it suitable for a broad range of attendees.
